What belongs?[]

So, what belongs on this page? Some cases are relatively clear -- the movie is about practicing Judaism, anti-semitism, living a Jewish life in a Jewish community or in a secular community. Others have significant Jewish content in terms of culture or the main characters happen to be Jewish. Where do we draw the line? -- CocoaZen 03:42, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

My opinion is the same as it always is on matters such as this, if the focus of the movie is a Jewish idea or theme, we include it. If it's just something that happens to contain something Jewish, like a couple of Chassidim walk by in a Brooklyn scene or something, we don't include it. If it's something that relies heavily on Jewish themes and ideas, but don't promote or address Jewish values and even go against them, such as Lucky Number Slevin, The Hebrew Hammer, or You Don't Mess with the Zohan, I would say are better left elsewhere. In terms of what movies to include, the only things out of Hollywood that i can really think of off the top of my head are Holocaust-related. The Devil's Arithmetic, Schindler's List, that sort of thing. I'm neutral on things like Fiddler on the Roof and The Frisco Kid. I also wouldn't mind expanding this page to include specific TV series episodes, such as those episodes of Law & Order which involve Jewish debates. — DeFender1031Wikipedia lighter blue star of davidTalk 04:52, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
