Stamp engraved with the Temple menorah.

The Temple Seal is a small stamp bearing the imahe of a seven branch menorah. It dates to around the time of the Temple of Herod which was destroyed in 70 CE. Stamps such as the Temple Seal were usually used by bakers. Some were found after the 1967 Six-Day War, providing archaeological support for the existence of the Temple in Jerusalem.
